2010 Millie Fox Stakes Final Field

February 25th, 2010

Kicking off just after 2.30pm on Saturday at the beautiful Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, the 2010 Millie Fox Stakes seems set to provide a good fight on the field, as nine make the starting line up.

The Group 3 race over 1,300 metres, is the fourth of the day, and will see these top fillies and mares compete for a share in the $125,000 in prize money.

Drawing the outside barrier is Montana Flyer who is coming into the 2010 Millie Fox Stakes on strong form. The Gai Waterhouse-trained mare has been runner up twice recently, most notably in the Group 2 Breeders Classic (1200m), and will have to jump across the field early to finish first.

Drawing the outside barrier is Montana Flyer who is coming into the 2010 Millie Fox Stakes on strong form.

Starting on the inside is the Joseph Pride-trained Bejewelled. Coming in seventh at the Breeders Classic, the five-year-old may well benefit from the advantage associated with the inside barrier.

John O’Shea has two starters for the 2010 Millie Fox Stakes in Strawberry Field and Jessicabeel who drew the eighth and sixth barriers respectively.

Also taking place at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on Saturday is the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) and the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m).
